Basic Rules
These rules should be self-evident, but here is a list anyways.

We do not tolerate any spam or advertisements posted on our main page or in the comment section of any of our journal entries or polls. Any person posting such spam or advertisements will be reported and blocked from this group immediately.

Out of respect for the other members we kindly ask you to only comment in ENGLISH.

Only PHOTOGRAPHY showing one or more than one human being. Pictures of shadows, pictures of posters, etc. showing humans are are not accepted, your picture must show an actual human being.

Your submission will be declined if it does not fit the rules and guidelines.
NOTE: If your submission is declined it is never because of the quality. It has always to do with not following the rules in some way! (If you want to request informations about your declined submissions it is only possible by using group correspondence. ALL REQUESTS NOT USING OFFICIAL GROUP CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE IGNORED! Submissions to the wrong folder will be declined.

Deviations must be located in DeviantArt's PHOTOGRAPHY category in order to be accepted in this group (exceptions may be made for Body Art, Fashion Design, ...). Stock pictures are accepted, as long as they are your own. (Please also read our article about Digital Art >> human-photography.deviantart.c… )

Your pictures must be as natural as possible. Small adjustments like color adjustments as well as contrast, B&W, subtle textures, small text (no excessive/huge amounts of text), infrared pictures, etc. are accepted. Your submission must be your own. You are not allowed to submit someone else's picture. (Exception: you are the model and have permission from the photographer to use the picture)

Submission limit is 1 deviation per day.

Specific Rules
Sometimes it's not clear to which category your picture belongs. Anyway, these few points should be self-evident for every member.


Artistic Nude pictures must only be submitted to the Artistic Nude gallery folder. Please make sure to mark all your Artistic Nude pictures as such by using DeviantArt's "'mature' tag. If you flagged your picture as 'mature', please submit it to the Artistic Nude section!

Pictures which belong to the Children gallery folder must only be submitted to this folder.

Pictures showing groups or pairs must only be submitted to the Groups, Pairs gallery folder (except Cosplay).

Pictures which belong to Body Parts gallery folder must only be submitted to this folder.

Concert/Event shots must only be submitted to the People in the Streets / People in real Life gallery folder.

Cosplay pictures must only be submitted to the Cosplay gallery folder. (Also if more than one person is shown on the picture!)

IF YOU INFRINGE ONE OF THESE RULES, YOUR SUBMISSION WILL BE DECLINED.

Essential Rules
These rules are essential to run a huge group like Human-Photography.

Don't submit art and remove it afterwards. If that's your plan, don't even submit to our gallery. (Exception: You are allowed to remove a picture from the gallery if you want to submit it into the Deviation of the Week folder)

Don't spam our message center by trying to submit the same picture to several different gallery folders (don't even try it, the system only allows your deviation to be accepted in one gallery folder anyway).

Don't submit DIGITAL ART or any other art than photography. Don't submit pictures which do not show human beings.

Do not cheat when your deviation is in the "Deviation of the Week" voting poll. It is considered cheating to: tell their watchers, friends, ... to vote for them (no matter if you use a journal, a poll or the comment section of the deviation to recruit your friends).

If you infringe one of these 4 rules 3 times you will be blocked from this group permanently. This means you will not be able comment, submit, ...


For those of you who wonder if there has ever been someone blocked from this group - yes, till today more than 60 people.
